BD FACSymphony™ S6 Cell Sorter

Flow Cytometer

Up to 25 Parameters: This cell sorter can detect up to 25 parameters with low-noise electronics and photomultiplier tube (PMT) detectors, ensuring comprehensive data collection.
Optimized Optics: The optics have been designed to maximize signal collection, incorporating BD's patented technologies with gel-coupled cuvettes and high-parameter cascade arrays.
Multi-Population Sorting: It offers the ability to sort up to 6 resolved populations simultaneously, saving time and accelerating the discovery process.
Index Sorting: This feature allows you to review the cell-surface phenotype of every cell sorted into a plate or slide, facilitating downstream experimental observations.
BD FACS™ Accudrop Technology: This technology ensures high-performance sort results by maintaining an optimal breakoff and pausing the sort when necessary to protect the purity of the sorted sample.
Customization through BD Special Order Research Product (SORP) Program includes:
Laser Options: Choose from up to 5 separated lasers. Laser powers may vary based on the chosen wavelength.
Customizable Filters: Filters can be tailored to detect specific dyes and fluorescent proteins according to your research needs.
Interchangeable Nozzles: High-precision interchangeable nozzles support a wide range of cell sizes, with standard options such as 70 µm, 85 µm, and 100 µm nozzles, along with the availability of 130 μm nozzles.
Collection Options: Various collection options, including 5, 15, and 50 mL tubes, microcentrifuge tubes, and 96-well and 384-well plates, are available to suit your needs.

Sample Description
The minimum volume of sample required for acquisition is 500ul and the concentration of cells/particles required is 1.106 cells or particles per ml.
Every sample for analysis should be accompanied by an unstained control.
Gating of the population is experiment design-specific and should be suggested by the user.
Gating can also be done offline by the user.
The sample will be analyzed on the channels using the lasers chosen by the user in the form.
The instrument is equipped to normally handle cells/particles in the size range of 0.2 to 25 microns. While the instrument cannot strictly handle cells/particles above 25 microns, it may be possible to analyze a sample size of less than 0.2 microns. Such samples, that is, those containing particle sizes less than 0.2 microns will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and users requesting analyses of such samples must discuss with the application specialist’s person prior to submitting a request.
